Ok so apparently when people say that the British speak English what they really mean is that they speak a kind of English. So here are for you guys that want to learns some BRITISH words:
Hello = ello
restroom = toilet
friend = mate
line = queue
curses = (still working on that but i think one of them is wonker???)
Went to the story the lady told me something. What you may ask? I have no idea. I just guessed answers. Apparently they were right I guess. They also speak very lightly.
OMG. The British apparently hate computer systems and love queues. So to register for classes we have to find the advisory for that department and sign us in. That took forever when you have 200 Americans that want to take the three classes that travel around London for the Architecture. So first I waited on a very long line that was going to be for me to register for a class that was pre approved. I get to the front of the line after 1 hour and it was full. Well hell. Ok I guess I can try for the really cool class that might get approved (The one about History of Architecture of London). As I was leaving the room I heard a girl say that she got the last spot. So great now I have no Humanities and wasted 3 hours. Ok so I guess I'll go get my ID. THE LINE WAS HUGE! Ok I've seen shorter lines for great adventure lines. This was for enrollment into the college. Guess what computers are done. Yep not only do they not use computers for haveing student register for classes that would take all of 5 minutes, but now the computer are not working. After waiting for what seemed to be another hour the line starts moving. I get my photo!!!! and my ID!!!! YEY!!! Those three things took me from 1 to 4. Yep 1 pm to 4 pm.
Now for the better part of the day. Our tour on a Boat. This was awesome. They served food and we went along the river. We saw Big Ben, The Eye of London, Parliament, a Battle Ship. Millennium Arena now called O2 Arena, and the coolest thing. The PRIME MERIDIAN. It's a heavy duty green lazy beam in the sky. As you can see either in the photos below or the link below. It is that green line that stretches across the screen. It goes from one point all the way the eye can see. It was great. We crossed it. 3 Time just for some laughs. I was standing on both the +0 and -0 Times.
